Currently, the residential listings in the Tucson real estate market break down in the following fashion:  Seventy four percent of the active listings (4,573) are single family homes; ten percent (631) are town-homes; Six and a half percent (404) are condominiums, over six percent (407) are manufactured homes and a little over one percent (84) are mobile homes.  Although around 519,000 people live within the Tucson city limits, 1,012,000 live in Pima County and the vast majority of those live in the greater metropolitan area which surrounds Tucson.  The total number of active listings (6,130) is the lowest number of listings in December since 2005.

Unlike many big cities, however, you will not find one great homogeneous suburb surrounding the city.  Instead, towns and villages pepper the nearby desert and mountains. In many ways, Tucson preserves the feeling of living in a small town because of these many unique communities ringing its periphery.   If you would like to find out more about our “green communities”, retirement villages, artist’s retreats or the many other life style oases in the area, just ask and I’ll be happy to send you the information!

Browse my website for listings, reports, links to Tucson sites and attractions and important local Real Estate information.  Email me (mailto:john@mijac.com) or call me anytime at  520-404-0741, you'll speak to me, not to a machine or an assistant.

Sincerely,

John Mijac, REALTOR®  GRI & EPRO
